Which sticks are suitable for use with the BONDS tobacco heating system?

Heatsticks Blends, Heets, Terea, Fiit, Marlboro can be ordered in bulk from wholesale supplier Zotty LTD. Delivery by sea, air all over the world.

We recently added the BONDS tobacco heating system to our portfolio. The device heats tobacco without the use of a blade or needle and does not require cleaning at all. Due to the structure and heating technology, the previously familiar HEETS and Fiit sticks for IQOS and lil SOLID, as well as the TEREA sticks for IQOS ILUMA, are not suitable for using BONDS. This device can only be used with BLENDS sticks.

What are BONDS?

BONDS is a compact tobacco heating system that heats tobacco rather than burning it. Thanks to this, instead of smoke, an aerosol with the aroma of real tobacco is formed. The BONDS battery is designed for 20 sticks without recharging, and one session lasts 4 minutes with no limit on the number of puffs.

What sticks are suitable for BONDS?

BONDS can only be used with one brand of sticks - BLENDS, which were developed specifically for it. Bonds cannot be used with any other sticks, in particular HEETS, Fiit and TEREA.

Blends tobacco sticks have a special design: they do not have an open tobacco part and are closed on both sides with filter plugs. Thanks to this, the tobacco from the stick does not remain inside the device and does not come into direct contact with it at all. Therefore, BONDS does not need cleaning at all.

Externally, you can easily distinguish BLENDS from other brands of sticks by the design of the pack and the appearance of the sticks themselves. Blends have bright colored packs with the inscription blends and the mark for bonds. On the Blends sticks themselves you will see the logo and corporate design.

Why are HEETS and Fiit sticks not suitable for BONDS?

Although HEETS and Fiit sticks are similar in shape and size to BLENDS sticks, they are not suitable for use with BONDS.

IQOS and BONDS devices have different heating technologies. Accordingly, they also need different sticks. IQOS and lil, which work with HEETS and Fiit tobacco sticks, heat the tobacco using a heating element (blade or needle) built into the holder or device. When you insert the stick, the blade penetrates the tobacco and heats it from inside the stick until the aerosol evaporates. The design of the HEETS and Fiit sticks is adjusted to the operating principle of the device: the tobacco part remains open, the tobacco is cut and inserted inside the stick in vertical strips so that the blade enters smoothly.

Unlike IQOS and lil, BONDS does not have a heating element in the form of a blade or needle. Bonds works using RoundHeat technology, heating the stick along the contour directly from the walls of the heating chamber. If you insert a HEETS or Fiit stick into Bonds, the device, even if it starts heating, will still not be able to warm up the tobacco properly. The session will not be as it should be - there will be little or no aerosol and taste. Moreover, tobacco from the HEETS/Fiit stick can get inside the BONDS, contaminate the device and generally negatively affect its operation. Conversely, do not attempt to use BLENDS with IQOS or lil as this may damage the heating blade/needle.

Why are TEREA sticks not suitable for BONDS?

Although TEREA sticks, like BLENDS, are similar in design (both the first and the second are covered with filters on both sides), and BONDS, like IQOS ILUMA, does not have a built-in heating blade, TEREA sticks are not suitable for use with Bonds. The devices have different heating technologies. IQOS iluma heats tobacco using induction. Each TEREA stick has a metal heating element built into it. The induction coil in IQOS iluma generates an electromagnetic field that heats up the metal plate hidden in the stick. And that, in turn, heats the tobacco in the stick from the inside until the aerosol evaporates. Bonds, which uses resistive heating technology, heats the tobacco in the stick from the outside, along the contour of the stick from the walls of the heating chamber. To use BONDS, you do not need sticks with a heating element inside.

What happens if you insert a HEETS or Fiit stick into BONDS?

Although Heets and FIIt sticks are very similar in size and visual appearance to Blends, they are not suitable for Bonds devices. If you just try to insert the HEETS stick into the BONDS, it will easily fit there, and the device will even start heating the tobacco. But there will be very little aerosol, and the taste will be practically undetectable. This may cause tobacco from the Heets or Fiit stick to get into the Bonds heating chamber and contaminate the unit or clog the air inlet.

What happens if you insert a BLENDS stick into IQOS or lil?

We do not recommend checking. The lower part of the BLENDS stick is covered with an acetate filter plug. These sticks are designed specifically for BONDS devices that heat tobacco from the walls of the heating chamber. IQOS and lil heat the tobacco in the stick using a blade or needle that pierces the stick from the inside. Therefore, if you try to insert the Blends stick into IQOS or Lil, you risk breaking the heating element of the device. If you try to turn on IQOS with the BLENDS stick, the heating blade will begin to melt the plug filter. The device and stick will be permanently damaged.

What happens if you insert a TEREA stick into BONDS?

In fact, if you insert the Terea stick into Bondz, it will heat it up and even give you a taste and aerosol when you use it. At the same time, the taste and sensation will not be better than with Blends sticks. In addition, we cannot guarantee that the use of non-Bondz sticks will not damage the device. Terea sticks were designed specifically for induction heating, where the tobacco in the stick is heated from the inside using a metal heating element hidden in it. Bonds has a different heating technology; it heats the tobacco in the stick from the outside, so you don't need sticks with a heating element inside to use it.

What happens if you insert the BLENDS stick into IQOS ILUMA?

Although the Blends sticks are very similar in appearance to the Terea sticks for IQOS Iluma (both are covered with filters on both sides and do not have an open tobacco part), they are not suitable for use with IQOS ILUMA with induction heating technology. IQOS ILUMA is intended for use only with TEREA sticks with a built-in heating element. If you insert Blends, or any other stick (except Terea) into IQOS Iluma, the stick will enter the device, but it will not even begin to heat it up. IQOS ILUMA recognizes sticks and works only with those that are intended specifically for it.

What happens if you insert a neo glo stick into Bonds?

Users sometimes ask whether Bonds can be used with Neo sticks for Glo, because the devices seem similar in design and operating principle. Not really. These devices have different structures and technologies, and require different sticks. BONDS can only be used with BLENDS sticks. The neo sticks currently available for sale for glo (regardless of the format, demi or nano) are too thin and long for Bonds. Moreover, these sticks are not closed at the bottom, so tobacco can spill inside the device and contaminate it.
