The European Union will soon introduce a new, more stringent rules for cigarette packaging. It is reported by the BBC.

Under the new rules, a warning about the health dangers of smoking should occupy 65% ​​of the space on the front and back of cigarette packs.
Innovations come into force on May 20, but no new packs will be available until sell out the old. This may take up to a year.
As the British television channel Sky News, the EU hopes that this measure will reduce the number of smokers by 2.4 million and prevented 700,000 premature deaths.
