BONDS is a compact tobacco heating system, one of the easiest to use devices in our portfolio of tobacco heating devices. In design and operating principle, BONDS is somewhat different from IQOS and lil.

The device has a simplified and damage-resistant design, does not require cleaning at all, heats tobacco without a blade or needle, and works with special BLENDS sticks created specifically for BONDS. In the review below we talk about all the details.

How does BONDS work?

Based on the operating principle, BONDS is a tobacco heating system. The device (unlike cigarettes) does not ignite tobacco, but heats special BLENDS sticks until the aerosol evaporates from them. Therefore, unlike cigarettes, which burn, with BONDS there is no risk of accidentally burning others, pets, clothes and furniture. BONDS also does not create the smell of cigarette smoke.

Important: This does not necessarily equate to a 95% risk reduction. BONDS does not eliminate all risks.

How does this happen? When you insert the stick and turn on Bonds, the device starts heating up. Unlike IQOS and lil, BONDS does not have a heating element in the form of a blade or needle. It heats the tobacco along the contour of the stick from the walls. Preheating of the stick lasts 20 seconds (there is no need to count, the device itself will tell you when you can start using vibration signals). The third vibration will mean that BONDS has warmed up the stick enough - it can be used.

One session of using BONDS lasts 4 minutes with no limit on the number of puffs. So you can use Bonds at your own pace. Just note 2 points: take short breaks between puffs (at least 4-5 seconds) so that the device has time to warm up the tobacco, and also keep in mind that as you use it, the intensity of the aerosol’s taste may weaken somewhat.

When there are 30 seconds left until the end of the session, BONDS will alert you with vibration. At the end of the session it will vibrate again. To remove the used stick, simply pull it towards you and close the cap.

BONDS does not need to be recharged between sessions; the battery charge is enough for 20 sticks. So you can immediately use another stick. After three sticks in a row, the device will automatically start the auto-cooling mode.
